After graduating in electrical engineering from DHBW Mannheim, Maximilian Wolodin started his professional career in October 2012 as a Service engineer in the Service Automation team of ABB in Frankfurt. His main tasks are to work with customers how they can secure their production plants best against cyber threats using ABB’s portfolio of cyber security services. In parallel, he is studying part-time for a Master’s degree in IT Security at the Ruhr University Bochum.

Presentation: Design of industrial networks in the context of Industry 4.0

Connecting Industrial Control Systems with different other applications is a pre-requisite for new concepts within the context of Industry 4.0. This workshop will show how to build a secure network architecture to achieve maximum security in interconnected systems, thus considering important security standards and based on valid design principles.
